Immediate Care Medical Facility MI1

Mountain Island is a case where a strategy of developing multiple new retail-oriented immediate care facilities was implemented in the context of an actual existing retail space. A 4,600 SF free-standing store was identified as being in a critically strategic location and its interior was gutted and transformed into a “branded” interior that is staffed by three providers: two Nurse Practitioners and a Physician’s Assistant. The facility has five exam rooms, procedure, X-Ray, IT and toilet rooms, as well as a laboratory and support spaces for additional staff including a nurse station, waiting areas, storage, and manager’s office. Very prominently situated next to the waiting area is a retail store selling items that support the two sleep-study rooms that are also provided at the facility.
